RHNA PROGRESS

This great application allows you to look at the RHNA (Regional Housing Needs Assessment) progress of different jurisdictions.  Keep in mind that the latest progress report is a snapshot of housing at the 7 year mark of an 11 year cycle (so 63.3% into the cycle).  That means to be “on track” they should be at least 63.3% towards the goal. Fire Hazard Severity Zones

This interactive map shows the CalFire designated “Fire Hazard Severity Zones.” Scroll around and click on the map for more information about the particular area.  In theory, zones in the Very High zones should require stricter building code requirements and land use policies which ensure the safety of the residents living there: ability to evacuate, hardened homes, defensible space, multiple egress. Note: it takes a little while to load. Click here if map doesn’t appear in your browser.
